Design penetrates into all spheres of human activity. If a piece of modern art can be understood by someone, design is the universal language. Convenience, beauty, utility. Modern design seeks to combine these three indicators. Design reflects the processes that occur in culture and society.
International festival of young designers of social and cultural sites «Cubed Design» will take place from 16 to 21 November 2009 in Moscow at the best exhibition area of the city.
We invite young designers to participate in the process of creating the future. The works are taken in three areas: Environmental design, Graphic design, Dress design.
The motto of the festival in 2009: «Facets vectors: trends of future». Each of you has a picture of the future. We want to see at the festival an overall picture of the future of our world.
The festival will be held in two phases.
The first phase. Members of the jury, who are representatives of major schools of design throughout the world, will select the competitive work.

Festival «Cubed Design» is not only a contest of projects, this form of interactive competitions of young designers. This is round table, scientific conference on the results of the festival, exhibitions, presentations, catalog design festival projects in all categories.

Three nominations: Book design. Graphics poster. Supergraphic art.
Book Design for someone who looks to the future, is interesting because it relates to eternity, and storage of information about something that important to know. We want to look at a book with a new angle: the future of the book, what is it?
Graphics poster is an inexhaustible source of creativity and the form of graphic designers. We offer three categories of this nomination: Theatre poster. Social poster “Human Being. Culture. Society”. Environmental poster “Futuristic vision: the world of the future, urban future”.
Supergraphic art is the notion of multi-dimensional. We want the young designers have seen the future of the city, using lighting, new forms of transmission of visual information in order to create the emotional focus and modeling new situations approaching megapolis' human to nature.
Direction «Design Environment»
Three nominations: Design of recreation areas. Scenography of podiums and staging. Installation.
Design of recreation areas..Three categories: Open recreation zones (parks, city complexes, theme complexes, etc.). Indoor recreation zones (buildings, system of buildings).
Filling in of recreation zones (elements and small components for recreation zone conceptual projects).
Scenography: Podium scenography. Stage play scenography. Performance scenography.
Installation: Installation as part of the environment (architectural, natural, etc.), or serving as any other element of the socio-cultural nature.
Exterior. Interior.
Direction «Dress Design»
Three nominations: Stage dress. Leisure dress. Evening dress.
We offer a scenic view of future designers, costume designers from different countries. The image of the future on stage, in concerts, high fashion.
Stage dress. Ethnics. Avantgarde. Artistic drawings in both categories.
Leisure dress is something that helps leisure and sports. New vision for this type of clothing for young people leading an active life. A lot of movements, many new discoveries. Clothes for sport. Clothes for tourism. Artistic drawings in both categories.
Evening dress. The tradition of wearing through the prism of the future. We offer a vintage theme and reminiscence: «Women's and men's image of the twentieth century: the great people». Artistic sketches.
